Introduction
The notion of Public Deliberation creates a lot of interest in debates concerning the idealization and practice of democracy. Researchers reflect about theoretical and empirical aspects of roles of public agents in democratic discussions.
The International Colloquium on Media and Democratic Deliberation is an opportunity to learn and discuss deliberation theories, and their application to real life.
Now, EME is organizing the event's second meeting, with the participation of renowned deliberation theorists, such as James Bohman and Hartmut Wessler.
Sessions wil take place at the Sônia Viegas Auditorium, Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), on November 30 and December 1st, 2009.
