Travelling to Belo Horizonte

The city of Belo Horizonte, capital of the state where the event will be held, is served by two airports: Confins/Tancredo Neves (CNF), with domestic and international flights and Pampulha (PLU) with domestic flights only.

Confins/Tancredo Neves International Airport is situated in the Belo Horizonte metropolitan area, in the municipality of Confins. Downtown Belo Horizonte may be reached by taxi (R$100,00/$43.00) or a special bus route (R$20,00/$8.70).

International Flights

Direct international flights to the city of Belo Horizonte (Confins/Tancredo Neves) are still limited, but there are daily flights (American Airlines) from Miami, (Azul) from Orlando, one flight 5 times a week from Lisbon (TAP),  one daily flight from Buenos Aires (Aerolíneas Argentinas), and one flight 6 times a week from Panama City (Copa Airlines). This situation is subject to change.

Domestic Flights

Should travelers choose to fly to Belo Horizonte with a layover in Brazil, most are routed through São Paulo (Cumbica Airport), with some going through Rio de Janeiro (Galeão Airport), where connections to BHTE (Confins/Tancredo Neves Airport) are available.

From Confins/Tancredo Neves Airport travelers can fly to all state capitals and to the most importante touristic cities in the country.

Pampulha Airport has regional flights to the interior of the state and a few domestic flights with layovers within Minas Gerais.
